Crusaders hand Dutchmen 67-47 D9 League setback

January 17, 2012

ST. MARYS – The Elk County Catholic Crusaders handed the St. Marys Area Flying Dutch a 67-47 District 9 League setback last night at the ECCHS gym.
The Crusaders were able to use a quick start to jump out to an 18-4 lead after the first eight minutes of play. The Dutch were never able to recover as the Crusaders went on for the victory.
“We had a good start but I thought we played a little loose in the fourth quarter,” said ECCHS coach Aaron Straub. “We were shooting the ball pretty well and when you make them they are all good shots.”
