BROCKWAY – The Brockway Lady Rover soccer team eliminated the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders from the District 9-A tournament by a 2-1 score in a quarterfinal game played at Frank Varischetti Field in Brockway.
This was the third time that these two teams had met this season.
“They beat us three times by one goal each time,” said ECCHS coach Don Fabiano. “I congratulate them. To beat a team three times in one season is quite an accomplishment.”
“Their keeper (Julie Vokes) played an outstanding game. She really was the difference. She literally robbed us,” said Fabiano.
