Ernest T. Oldani, 72, of Ridgway, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 17, 1939 in Coal Hollow, son of the late Tanny and Bruna Pelleschi Oldani.
He married Marion A. Mendat, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a 1957 graduate of Ridgway Area High School. He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, Ridgway Elks and Kersey Eagles. He was employed for 42 years at Powder Metal Products, Inc. in St. Marys as a machinist/foreman.
Dave Rodgers, age 80, a former Ridgway resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife, Cathy, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Steve Rodgers (Pam), of Singapore; Mike Rodgers, of Cary, N.C.; Doug Rodgers, of Rockville, Md.; and Jan Haley (Jeff), of Raleigh, N.C.; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Anthony "Tony" Moscatello, 86, died Monday, August 8, 2011, at his home in Astoria, N.Y.
He was born September 18, 1924 in New York, N.Y., and later moved to Astoria, N.Y., where he resided all his life.
On September 10, 1949, he married Angeline Caggiano Moscatello at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Ridgway. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2007.
Tony and Angie made frequent trips to Ridgway to visit friends and relatives.
Raymond A. Feldbauer, 74, of 250 Euclid Avenue, Ridgway, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born November 10, 1936 in St. Marys. On March 28, 1959, in St. Marys, he married Judith Rouqez, who preceded him in death in 1975. On February 21, 1976, in the St. Mary's Church, he married Ann Ehrensberger, who survives.
Mary E. Stahli, 83, of Worrall Street, Wilcox, died at home Saturday, August 20, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 5, 1928 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Francis P. and Maude (Fellows) McCabe. On March 17, 1949, she married Harold Stahli, who preceded her in death on August 16, 1987.
She lived all her life in Johnsonburg and Wilcox and was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was employed by Stackpole Carbon of Johnsonburg for many years and the Grant House of Wilcox.
Mary Margaret (Sis) Dussia, age 93, of 505 Sheridan Ave., Ridgway, died Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2011, at Elk Regional Health Center.
Adeline E. Lenze, 89, of 155 Cross Road, St. Marys, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 1, 1922, in St. Marys, daughter of the late William and Adeline Cannon Minnick. On November 8, 1941, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Mark C. Lenze, who preceded her in death on June 11, 2010.
Michael A. Bigley, 61, of 1914 Settle Road, Newark Valley, N.Y., died Monday afternoon, August 15, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y. following a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.
He was born December 14, 1949 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Frederick and Dorothy Wallace Bigley.
On February 5, 1972, in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, he married Lynn Steudler, who survives.
He graduated from Keystone Oaks High School, Pittsburgh. He also attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Florence C. Redmount, age 86, of 310 Jackson Ave., Ridgway, died Sunday evening, Aug. 14, 2011, at Elk Haven Nursing Home followed an illness of the past three years.
She was born May 30, 1925, in New York, N.Y., daughter of the late Abraham and Rebecca (Schweitzer) Schweitzer. She married Melvin B. Redmount on June 1, 1952, he survives.
She had resided in Ridgway for the last 53 years and was a member of the B'nai Brith Synagogue in Bradford, was a past two-term Ridgway Area School Board member, a past member of the Footlighters, and a member of the Animal Protection Association.
Jo Ann K. Marche, 74, of 392 Brandy Camp Circle Ridgway died on Aug. 5, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born on March 18, 1937 in Dagus Mines, daughter of the late Adam and Sophie Zuchowski Shutika.
She married James A. Marche Sr., who died on July 6, 2008.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp and enjoyed crocheting, collecting angels and atching Mother Angelica on EWTN.
She had been employed at Stackpole Carbon as a laborer in the oven room for 18 years. After her retirement, she worked at Long John Silvers in DuBois and Sylvania in St. Marys.
