Amy J. Sain, 36, of Seven Fields, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Sain; her children, Riley and Ryan; her parents, Theodore and Lorraine Wawrykow; a brother, Joseph C. Wawrykow (Dominique); in-laws Donald and Leah (Dowie) Sain; sisters-in-law Diane Marzula (John), Lisa Jennings (William), Paula Canterino (Joseph), Debbie Sain and Jackie Means (Walker); brothers-in-law Douglas Sain (Leanne) and Robert Campana (Martha); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Edwin P. â€śKatâ€ť Polaski Sr., 92, of Bergen Street, Johnsonburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 6, 1922 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Peter and Stella (Machcoviak) Polaski.
On Oct. 25, 1952, he married Dorothy Carnahan, who preceded him in death June 20, 1979.
He served in the Army during WWII and worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for 47 years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and lived all his life in Johnsonburg.
Robert Gardner, 95, a lifelong resident of Ridgway, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 after a brief illness.
He was born July 11, 1919, in Ridgway, son of the late Elmer and Susie (Wilson) Gardner.
He was married to Genevieve M. Assalone on Feb. 10, 1945 at St. Leo's Church. His only daughter, Kathleen Gardner, survives.
Lewis Donald Bushey, 87, of 198 Shady Dr., Ridgway, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 15, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 25, 1926 in Ridgway, the son of the late Lewis and Minnie C. (Norlin) Bushey. On June 3, 1953, he married Gloria M. Hunt. She preceded him in death Feb. 17, 2014.
He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He had served in the U.S. Navy, and he was a WWII veteran. He had also been employed by the Stackpole Carbon Company for many years.
Phyllis Jean Gausman, 81, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at her home at Benzinger Road following a lengthy battle with Alzheimerâ€™s.Â
Phyllis Jean was born May 13, 1933 at home in Klondyke, a daughter of the late Vern and Ruth (Senior) VanOrder.
Due to her fatherâ€™s several re-assignments as a game protector, Phyllis attended four different grade schools, including the experience of a one-room schoolhouse, before arriving at the stability of the Wilcox High School where she graduated in 1951 as the valedictorian of her class.
Maxine H. Fink, 85, formerly of Elk Avenue, Ridgway, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 31, 1929 in Mill Hall, daughter of the late Charles and Trenna Bridges Bowman.
She was married to John E. Fink who preceded her in death Jan. 16, 1994.
She enjoyed reading.
Nadine A. Cedargren, 97, of 763 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, and formerly of Ridgway, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 8, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 15, 1917 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Lewis and Minnie C. (Norlin) Bushey.
She was married to Elmer Cedargren who preceded her in death in 1966.
She had resided in Ridgway all of her life and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Nadine was a 1936 graduate of the Ridgway High School. She had been employed by Home Telephone Company and Alltel for many years.
William Ira Livingston Sr., 94, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 at Flagler Health and Rehabilitation Center, Bunnell, Fla.
He was born May 4, 1920 in Clearfield, son of the late Lewis and Mary (Watson) Livingston.
On Aug. 24, 1942, he married Martha â€śJaneâ€ť (Law) Livingston who preceded him in death on April 1, 2014.
Charles J. Greene, 68, of 135 North Loop, Steamburg, N.Y., died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, Sept. 6, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 2, 1946 in Erie, son of the late Adam and Delma Jimerson Greene.
Mr. Greene was employed as a project manager for the Seneca Construction Management Corporation.
He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Deer Clan.
Helen Johanna Imbrogno, 92, of 636 Second Ave., Johnsonburg, died Saturday morning, Sept. 6, 2014 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born March 7, 1922 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret Stebich.
On Sept. 25, 1954 in St. Mary's Church, St. Marys, she married Carl Imbrogno and he survives
She resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage. She lived her childhood in St. Marys with her grandparents Henry and Henrietta Finfinger.
