Rosalie Mae Glatt, 73, of 20 Mertz Avenue, St. Marys, died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 1, 1938 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Ralph N. and Ruth St. John Dorio. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1956.
On February 2, 1957 in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, she married Andrew Glatt who preceded her in death on September 12, 1995.
Lawrence J. "Skinny" Wolfe, 90, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, and formerly of 407 Blaine Ave., Johnsonburg, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 following a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 11, 1921 in Johnsonburg, son of the late John and Susan Ruben Wolfe.
He married Christine Amacher on July 4, 1942 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. She survives.
Pauline E. Bowers, 54, of 8 Gillouly Ave., passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
She was born March 30, 1957 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Ralph and Janet Johnson Amacher. On Aug. 7, 1976, she married Richard â€śBillâ€ť Bowers, he survives. Mrs. Bowers was a lifelong Ridgway resident. She was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, and the Women of the Moose. She had been employed at the Ridgway Eagles and the Ridgway Moose. She enjoyed crocheting and she was an assistant soccer coach at Ridgway Area High School.
Nancy R. Beimel, 70, of 759 Johnsonburg Rd. Elco Glen, St. Marys, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness of the past several months.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 11, 1941, daughter of the late Frank and Helen Johnson Nottingham.
She had formerly lived in California and Reynoldsville.
Nancy enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an animal lover and loved her dog. She loved to travel, do ceramics, read and write poetry.
Dominick (Nick) Sette, 78, of 178 Evers Ave. St. Marys, died Friday Dec. 9, 2011 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born December 16, 1932 in Ridgway, son of the late Frank and Concettina Curado Sette.
On May 4, 1957, in the Sacred Heart Church, he married Beverly Klancer, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Ridgway schools. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company and Carbone, retiring in 1997 after 40 years of service.
Douglas A. McClelland, 49, of 314 Vernon Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, 2011, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born June 27, 1962 son of Kenneth H. and Patricia A. (Eckert) McClelland.
Theresa Virginia Nebesnak, 82, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, and formerly of Johnsonburg, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1929 in Lackawanna, N.Y., to the late Samuel Pace and Virginia Flynn. She married Emil S. Nebesnak, who predeceased her on Aug. 30, 2004.
Daniel F. Kemmerer Sr., age 80, of Rockmart, Ga., died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, in a Rome Medical Center.
He was born in Ridgway on Dec. 13, 1930, a son of the late Raymond J. Kemmerer and Mary DeGroat Kemmerer. He had been a resident of Rockmart since 1997, moving there from New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
He was a member of the Aragon United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Kemmerer retired from the IBM Corporation as a service representative with 36 years of service.
Thomas G. Schreiber, 69, of 1127 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Christ the King Manor in DuBois as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Nov. 14, 2011.
He was born Aug. 31, 1942, in St. Marys, son of the late Ambrose and Bertha Brem Schreiber. On July 18, 1970, in the St. Boniface Church in Kersey, he married Connie M. Lorenzini and she survives.
Andrew Luke, age 70, formerly of Brockport, more currently a resident at Jefferson Court in Brookville. died Dec. 3, 2011 at Brookville Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1941 in Crenshaw to Henry and Matilda Zamboni Luke.
Andy attended St. Tobias in Brockway. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as playing board games and cards.
He is survived by one sister, Carol A. Connacher of Brockport, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Frank, Larry and James Luke.
