Frank J. Milliard, Jr., 80, of 2488 Water Street Extension, Johnsonburg, died Friday morning, Feb. 15, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Kane following a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 25, 1932 in Onondega, N.Y., son of the late Frank J. and Angeline Asti Milliard.
He married Joan Colosimo in 1957, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 8, 1988.
He resided in Johnsonburg since 1975 and had also lived in Riverside, Calif.
Jerome J. Cavalline, 71, of 324 Ash St., St. Marys, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born March 19, 1941 in Coal Hollow, son of the late Louis P. and Marie Malone Cavalline. On Sept. 26, 1986, in the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Wilcox, he married Julie A. Johnson, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1959. He was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Co., Speer Carbon, Elk Regional Health Center, and was also a former bus driver.

Eugene Edward Dunton, 71, of Conover, N.C., made the glorious trek to the kingdom of heaven Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice.

James F. Eggler, 68, of 184 Elm St., Stonington, Conn., and formerly of Johnsonburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Conn.
He was born Feb. 2, 1945 in Ridgway, son of Dorothy Young Eggler and the late James M. Eggler.
He resided in Stonington for the past several years.
Elizabeth Jane “Betty†Mitchell Ford, 77, of Youngstown, Ohio, died early Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2013 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on Feb. 5, 1936 in Ridgway, the daughter of the Daniel and Mabel (Schmiedel) Mitchell, and moved to the Youngstown area in 1956.
Betty was a 12-year cancer survivor. She was a member of St. Matthias Church, the 7th Ward Citizens Coalition and the Cochran Park Neighbors. She was a dog groomer, a member of the Kroger Price Patrol and enjoyed hauling with her husband.

Esther A. Piccirillo, 101, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at her residence.
She was born August 17, 1911, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Henry and Matilda Martinson Nelson. She married Michael Piccirillo.

Joanne T. Wendel, 69, of 185 Center St., Elk Towers, and formerly of Newton, N.C., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 13, 1943 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Andrew and Rosa Turcotte Meyer.
She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1961 and a graduate of the Clearfield School of Nursing. She worked for many years in healthcare and also worked in landscaping.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, crafts and rock ‘n roll music. She also loved her cats.
Rose Mary “Rosie†Brunner, 90, a resident of St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars for the past five months and formerly of 301 Erie Ave. and Silver Creek Terrace in St. Marys, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 30, 1922 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Farrell Duffy. On Oct. 5, 1953 in the St. Leo’s Church in Ridgway, she married James F. Brunner, who preceded her in death on June 23, 2004.

Pauline E. Smith, 69, formerly of 521 West Main St., Ridgway, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the DuBois Village.
She was born March 16, 1943 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Virginia Bush.
She was married to the late H.O. Kenneth Smith, the former postmaster in St. Marys.
She had resided in Ridgway all of her life and had been the Ridgway Township Tax Collector for 18 years, retiring in 2001.
Sidney D. Himes, 46, of Johnsonburg, died suddenly on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at a friend's home in Kane.
Born April 23, 1966 in St. Marys to the late Bernard W. and Julia C. (Rider) Himes, Sidney was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, and was an avid artist.
Sidney is survived by three brothers, Harvey Himes of Ridgway, Clarence Himes of Johnsonburg, and David Himes of Johnsonburg; a sister, Alberta Short of Genesee, N.Y.; an aunt, Mary Ellen and her husband Glenn Hess of Bradford; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
