Patricia A. Colgan, 84, of Rattlesnake Road, Brockway, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk in St Marys.
She was born July 7, 1930 in DuBois, daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth McMinn Siple.
Pat was married to Robert M. â€śHerkyâ€ť Colgan and he preceded her in death Jan. 23, 2011.
William James "Bill" Feronti, 67, of 210 Mill St., Johnsonburg, died Thursday evening, Jan. 8, 2015 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 21, 1947 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Charles R. Sr. and Sylvia Baptist Feronti.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1965.
Mr. Feronti was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg Legion Post 501, and Central Hose Company. He was an avid music fan and was adept at playing various instruments. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be greatly missed by all.
Frederick J. "Fred" Schill, 66, of 58 Launer Ln., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 6, 2015 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 2, 1948 in Kane, son of the late Ralph and Wilma Reed Schill. He married Sandra Lewis on Sept. 14, 1968 in St. Marys and she survives.
Mr. Schill resided in Johnsonburg for the past 44 years. He attended Queen of the World school.
He was a member of the VFW, Prince of Piedmont Club in Johnsonburg and Wilcox Sportsmen's Club.
Betty R. Trumbull, 82, of 75 Mapleview Dr., Ridgway, died Monday morning, Jan. 5, 2015 at Highland View Health Care following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 26, 1932 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Flannigan) Hemke.
She married Harry R. Trumbull on Aug. 30, 1953, he preceded her in death Aug. 17, 2010.
She had resided in Ridgway all of her life and was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, the V.F.W. and the American Legion.
Betty was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and she enjoyed baking.
John J. "Jack" White, 81, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio.
He was a corporal in the U.S. Army, lifetime member of the Moose Lodge #174, Elks Lodge #931 and Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.
Eleanor L. Anderson, 84, of 1553 Mefferts Run Rd., Wilcox, died Friday evening, Jan. 2, 2015 at her residence following a short illness.
She was born Aug. 31, 1930 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Matula Machoviak.
On Sept. 15, 1957 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Alton R. Anderson. He died Aug. 30, 1995.
She resided in Wilcox since 1951 and was formerly of Johnsonburg.
She graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1948. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg.
Rev. Sigmund S. Decker, 85, formerly of Warren, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 at Carolina's Medical Center of Charlotte, N.C., after doing what was most important to him, visiting family over the holidays.
Rev. Decker was born April 13, 1929 in Warren and was currently residing in Charleston, S.C. with his daughter for the past six years. He is the son of the late Harry A. and Alma A. Watt Decker.
James A. Hoffman, 90, formerly of 1935 Bear Creek Rd., Ridgway, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor where he resided for the past three years.
He was born April 18, 1924 in Ridgway, son of the late Charles A. and Estella E. (Cousins) Hoffman.
He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a sergeant with the 310th Signal Operations Battalion in the European Theatre.
He was self-employed for 42 years until his retirement in 1989 from Hoffman Roofing.
Paul Albert Mitchell, 84, of Hyde Avenue, Ridgway, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway.
He was born March 8, 1930 in Cloe, son of the late Paul W. and Hazel M. Johnson Mitchell.
He was married on June 25 to Doris Virginia Cook who preceded him in death Nov. 26, 2011.
Retired, he was a self-employed lumberman/logger. Paul was one of two last surviving founding members of the Church of the Nazarene in Ridgway. His greatest enjoyment came from being in the outdoors spending time with his grandchildren. Paul will be greatly missed by all.
Marshall C. "Cecil" O'Rourke, 93, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, and formerly of Mefferts Run Road, Wilcox, Chicago, Ill. and Cleveland, Ohio, died early Thursday morning, Jan. 1, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 7, 1921 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Marshall Q. and Lila Grace Beck O'Rourke.
He married Marge Bodnar and she died in 2001.
He resided in Wilcox since 2004, and had lived in Chicago, Ill. for 40 years and Cleveland, Ohio for 18 years.
