Lawrence L. â€śBudâ€ť Parks, age 82, of Old Kane Rd, Wilcox, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Highland View Health Care after a short illness.
He was born Dec. 22, 1928 in Johnsonburg, son of Lawrence L. and Vivian (Klase) Parks, both deceased.
He married Angeline â€śAngieâ€ť (DeChano), she survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy and worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for 43 years. he lived all his life in Johnsonburg and Wilcox.
Frank Maletto, 53, of 2044 Mefferts Run Rd., Wilcox, died Thursday evening, April 21, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 11, 1957 in St. Marys, son of the late Orlando "Popeye" and Borgia McDivitt Maletto.
On Oct. 28, 2006, he married Laurie J. Taylor, who survives.
Melinda (Mindy) S. Bell, 36, of Pittsburgh, (formerly of Franklin), passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, April 20, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Franklin on June 5, 1974, Mindy was the daughter of John Andrew and Karla S. Shaffer Bell of Elk Street.
Sandy L. Leithner, 59, of State Road, Johnsonburg, died at home on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1952 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Sidney Sprague and Donna (Nitsche) Sprague, who survives in Johnsonburg.
She married Michael â€śRedâ€ť Leithner on August 27, 1982. He survives in Johnsonburg.
She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1970.
She worked for many years at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill; the Elk County 911 Call Center; and as an administrative assistant with the Elk County Elections Office.
John Max Pennington, 42, of 139 Julia St., Johnsonburg, died Monday night, April 18, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 20, 1969 in Ridgway, son of MaryAnn Pavlock Pennington and James E. Pennington, who survive.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1990. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and Central Hose Co. He was also an Eagle Scout. He loved hunting and fishing and had a special way with people and loved animals. He was employed by ELCAM in St. Marys for the past 21 years.
Robert J. Yonker, 53, of 231 High Ave., Ridgway, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a brief illness.
He was born August 12, 1957, in Ridgway, son of Darrell H. and Lois M. (Kelley) Yonker, who survive.
He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 93, earned a black belt in karate, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his music. He was a 1975 graduate of Ridgway High School. He had been employed by Elk County General Hospital, Keystone Carbon and Carbone of America.
Grace E. Lyle, age 97, of East Cardott Street, Ridgway, died Thursday evening, April 14, 2011, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born July 27, 1914, in Big Run, daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn Reinhart. She married Eugene E. Lyle on Aug. 22, 1934, he preceded her in death on March 31, 1978. She had resided in Ridgway all her married life and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She had been employed by Brody's Dress Shop and by the Ridgway Area High School for many years.
Alex J. Skraba, 78, of 355 Dewey Circle, Ridgway, died peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, April 12, 2011.
He was born Dec. 19, 1932, in DuBois, the son of the late Samuel and Anna Radzek Skraba.
On June 9, 1956, he married Helen C. Bienkowski, who survives.
Rickey Anthony Antonuccio, 55, of Beach Grove Rd., Ridgway, passed away, April 4, 2011, at the Hershey Medical Center. He was born Oct. 23, 1955, in Ridgway, the son of Nicholas P. Antonuccio, who survives and the late Edna L. Dilley Antonuccio. He is survived by his wife, Regina Singleton. He resided in Ridgway for most of his life. He attended Ridgway Area High School. He enjoyed billiards, construction, 4-wheeling, cards, story telling, being around kids, repairing and painting cars. He was an automotive mechanic for 40 years.
Charles J. Marconi, 79, of 120 Hemlock Rd., St. Marys, died Monday morning, April 11, 2011, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 24, 1932, in St. Marys, son of the late Zolferino and Mary Nart Marconi.
On Nov. 5, 1955, in the St. Mary's Church, he married Norma Salter, who survives.
