January 8th
James Cristini, age 90, of Play Ground Road Brockport, died Jan. 6, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Indiana, Pa., son of Augusto and Maria Bartoletti Cristini.
He was married to Virginia M. Zimmerman, she preceded him in death on May 8, 2009.
January 5th
Lillian Detar, age 91, of 326 Westchester Blvd., Kenmore, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 5, 1920, to Lottie Rose and Joseph Szymanski. She married the late Homer "Ike" Detar of Kane, he preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia, Mrs. Williams Scanlon of Warren, Ohio; two grandchildren, Suzie, Mrs. Keith Callen of Sarver, Pa., and Brian Scanlon and his wife Amanda of Evans City, Pa.; and five great-grandchildren, Samantha and Josephine Scanlon, and Joshua, Tristan and Kihia Callen.
January 2nd
Walter R. Ditch, 94, of Ridgway passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 of cardiac arrhythmia and advanced age. Walter was the patriarch of his family and recently celebrated his birthday with five generations in attendance. He was born Nov. 24, 1917 in Ramsaytown, Jefferson Co., Pa.
His family relocated to Ridgway when he was about 10 and with the exception of several years during WWII, spent the remainder of his life in the home he built on the family farm along Boot Jack.
