Homer C. Wolfe Jr., age 62, Powers Avenue, Johnsonburg, died at home, Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Ridgway, son of Homer C. Helen M. (Fitch) Wolfe Sr., deceased.
He married Arlean M. (Roessler) in June of 2009, she survives in Berlin Center, Ohio.
A graduate of Johnsonburg High School, he served for three years as a Marine in Vietnam. He retired from the State Police Agency of Oklahoma state and in 2005 retired as a Sergeant from the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He worked locally as a driver for ATA for six years.
Robert M. Harriger, 95, of Winter Haven, Fla., passed away Aug. 23, 2011.Â
Robert was preceded in death by his grandson, Robert Zilcosky. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Edith Harriger; two daughters, Judith Thorwart (Fredrick) and Patricia Zilocosky; eight grandchildren, Deborah Thorwart, Barbara Tilley, Denis Fisher, Craig Zilcosky, Danielle Warren, Robyn Carter, Leslie Miller, and Danay Harvey; and 18 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, at First Baptist Church in Eagle Lake, Fla., at 1 pm. www.ott-laughlin.com.
Lois J. Bryndel, 82, of 126 Elk Ave., Ridgway, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born August 10, 1929, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late William B. and Florence C. Hathorn Wagoner.
She married James E. Bryndel, who predeceased her on February 22, 2004.
She had been a lifelong Ridgway resident and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She was a longtime hospital volunteer and she attended many prayer groups. She especially enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends.
