Christine I. “Dena” Dahms, 92, of 266 Grove Ave., Ridgway, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Margaret Forester Steger. She married John A. “Jack” Dahms on Feb. 14, 1943; he predeceased her on Aug. 19, 2005.
Mrs. Dahms was a lifelong Ridgway resident. She was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening , reading, and staying abreast of current events and changes in the nursing profession. She was a Registered Nurse at Elk County General Hospital and Ridgway Community Nurses.
Frank W. Sekelsky, 91, of 14 Kane St., Wilcox, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1920, in Johnsonburg, son of the late John and Katherine Knopic Sekelsky. He married Wanda Waskiewicz on Sept. 30, 1944 in Holy Cross Church, Rasselas. She survives.
