The Ridgway Area School Board accepted the retirement of Finance Manager Brent Rhoads in 2014 at the board's monthly school board meeting held Tuesday night in the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School.
The retirement is effective on July 11, 2014.

Elk Expo to be held Aug. 17-18

BENEZETTE – After a hiatus of several years the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Elk Expo will be making a return this weekend in time for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the reintroduction of elk in Pennsylvania. The expo will be held at the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette on Saturday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 18.
