WEEDVILLE â€“ A fire broke out late Wednesday night at 1197 River Rd. [state Route 555] in Jay Township and destroyed a single story residence.

Just around 11 p.m. Saturday night a Toyota Tacoma truck heading west on South Street/state Route 949 when he failed to make the turn by the Ridgway borough property heading out of Ridgway. The truck hit a utility pole cutting the pole in two leaving the upper portion hanging by several wires and cutting off electricity to a south section of Ridgway.
