Driver in 6-fatality wreck taken to McKean County Jail

KANE – "It was time."
This terse comment from Kane District Court Judge David Engman came Wednesday after his action that transfers Kathleen S. Douglas to the McKean County Jail.
Douglas, 37, of Kane is charged with manslaughter as an alleged drug-influenced driver in a horrific six-fatality traffic accident Aug. 31 near Lantz Corners.

Christmas Spectacular Concert set for Sunday

ST. MARYS – St. Marys Area High School's Carpin Auditorium will be filled with sounds of holiday cheer on Sunday afternoon as the Christmas Spectacular Concert by the Nicholas J. Sinibaldi Concert Band and Choir gets underway at 3 p.m. The roughly hour and a half long concert will feature a variety of holiday music and is free to the public. However, donations will be collected at the door and all proceeds this year will benefit the Crystal Fire Department.
