Thomas Smith, the case of an Emporium man charged with the August 2012 attempted abduction of a bank teller at gunpoint, have submitted questions to be asked of prospective jurors when trial proceedings, previously set to begin today, resume on Aug. 5.

Inner Park Day signups encouraged by July 8

Area youngsters between the ages of five and 14 who plan to participate in Inner Park Day at Memorial Park this year are encouraged to sign up for the event by July 8. The free event is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 with a rain date of the following day, and the advance signups are being held this year in an effort to provide each participant with an event T-shirt.
