The Ridgway Township Municipal Authority discussed modifications to the current Stage 2 Disinfectants Byproducts Rule Monitoring Plan at their regular meeting Thursday evening.
FOX TWP. â€“ The Kersey Motor Company, an auto body repair shop located at 108 Zola Rd. in the Coal Hollow section of Fox Township, sustained significant damage during a Tuesday evening fire. The large steel-frame commercial building measuring 40-foot by 80-foot, is owned by Leo (Dave) Surra of Kersey. The fire was ruled accidental in nature and the business was closed and unoccupied at the time of the fire. Damage is estimated at $350,000.
ST. MARYS â€“ A 48-year-old woman is dead after reportedly being gunned down early Tuesday morning at Eastern Sintered Alloys in St. Marys. An affidavit of probable cause filed Tuesday shed more light on the case.
FOX TWP. â€“ A fire broke out Tuesday evening at roughly 5:36 p.m. Tuesday at Kersey Motor Company located at 108 Zola Street in Fox Township, damaging the large commercial building owned by Leo (Dave) Surra of Kersey.
Michael Anthony Scolari, age 25, pleaded guilty to one felony count of arson as part of a plea bargain with the District Attorney's office stemming from a July 9, 2012 camper fire that occurred at his residence.
