The Elk County Board of Commissioners announced today that the Elk County Jail successfully crossed the finish line in EPAâs 2012 ENERGY STAR National Building Competition: Battle of the Buildings. In its third year, the competition featured teams from across the country racing to improve energy efficiency, lower utility costs and protect health and the environment. Together, competitors cut their energy costs by more than $50 million.
EMPORIUM â A New York state man is charged in Cameron County Court with sexually assaulting a child while he resided in Emporium between 2007 and 2008.
JOHNSONBURG â The man charged with murdering a Ridgway teen and dumping her body in a remote, swampy corner of an area park was in District Court Wednesday where a preliminary hearing saw charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault and abuse of a corpse upheld against him.
