JOHNSONBURG – The Borough of Johnsonburg may soon have its own website.
During Monday afternoon's regular council meeting Johnsonburg resident Stephanie Carnessali proposed the idea to create a website showcasing events, announcements and other general information for the public.

The defense attorney for a Ridgway man charged with federal weapons possession has asked the court for more time to compile a more "accurate and complete" account of his client's criminal history before the matter is taken to trial.
JOHNSONBURG – Johnsonburg Mayor David Zilkofski reported on a fire that destroyed a 2-story apartment building in Johnsonburg during Monday afternoon's council meeting.
Submissions for the 2013 Elk Expo Patch Contest have been narrowed down to 10 finalists and it is now up to the public to determine which will be turned into the patch for this year's Elk Expo.
March 10th
JOHNSONBURG – Corporal Greg Agosti, a fire marshal for the Ridgway-based State Police, reported investigating a fire that occurred Sunday afternoon at 236 Blaine Ave. in Johnsonburg.
ERIE – Jury selection in the trial of Richard Allen Danz, 48, of St. Marys, federally indicted on charges of wire fraud and money laundering, will commence in federal court in Erie during the court term beginning May 6, 2013.
The St. Marys Neighborhood Girls Scouts are busy planning their upcoming trip to the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park. The educational trip, taking place May 10-11, is open to all area scouts and their female family and friends as they tour the park, dine and sleep over in a battleship and visit Niagara Falls.
March 8th
The Ridgway Township Municipal Authority held their final meeting at 164 Ridgway Dr. Thursday night.
All meetings for the remainder of the 2013, beginning Thursday, April 4, will be held at the new township municipal building located at 1537 Montmorenci Rd.
Meeting are held the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
March 7th
JOHNSONBURG – In an effort to continue to offer athletic opportunities to area students, administration from the Ridgway and Johnsonburg Area School Districts have organized a joint proposal that was presented Thursday night in public meetings in both boroughs.
Ridgway and Johnsonburg athletics appear closer than ever to blending as one.
Ridgway held a public meeting Thursday night in the High School Auditorium to discuss proposed co-ops in athletics between the two schools.
