BROCKPORT – As part of an annual report, Horton Township Fire Chief Chad Guaglianone stated that no deaths or firefighter injuries took place in 2012 during Wednesday night's meeting of the Horton Township Board of Supervisors.
JAMES CITY – The Highland Township supervisors plans to meet with attorneys to map out a response to a threat of legal action by Seneca Resources.

The Ridgway Area School District Board of Directors approved a preliminary general fund budget calling for a potential tax increase during their regular meeting Tuesday night.
WILLIAMSPORT – A federal trial for Thomas Smith of Emporium will be postponed until May after Smith's public defender requested additional time for trial preparation.

Jury selection was held and a trial date set for a Ridgway man charged with growing marijuana at his Long Level Road property.
JOHNSONBURG – Johnsonburg Police Chief Bryan Parana reported on the recent arrest of a Ridgway man charged with robbing a Johnsonburg bank during a council meeting held Monday afternoon.
ST. MARYS – The number of Confirmation candidates assisting with this year's Valentine's Day Ball at Pinecrest Manor may have been down, but the turnout from Pinecrest residents was very high as it was "a packed house" of "over 100 residents" for the annual event, according to Confirmation Facilitator Kathy Reuscher.

JAMES CITY – A Kane man was killed Friday morning when an empty coal truck struck his passenger car at the intersection of Route 66 and the entrance to James City.
The Ridgway Area School District will vote on a preliminary budget during their regular board of directors meeting Tuesday night in the library of the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School.
