ST. MARYS - A St. Marys woman has been charged with multiple felony counts of identity theft and related offenses after she allegedly ran up over $13,000 in credit card bills under the assumed identity of an elderly neighbor.

Conservation District Field Representative John M. Green of the Pennsylvania Department of Environment of Protection [DEP] responded to Gov. Tom Corbett's budget proposal to strip the state's conservation districts of funding and instead potentially rely on money received from impact fees during Monday's regular Elk County Conservation District meeting.
Two Elk County natives will be performing with the Lycoming College Tour Choir as they make a stop in St. Marys for a Friday evening performance at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church on Washington Street.
CLARION COUNTY — After a 29-year-old man was charged Monday with third-degree murder in the January death of 19-year-old Devan Knapp of Brookville, a second man, 32-year-old Joel Tanner Stark of Rimersburg, has been charged with several criminal conspiracy counts-- including abuse of a corpse and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence-- surrounding Knapp's death and the moving of her body, WJAC-TV reported Tuesday.
Beginning March 1, all federal benefits will be paid electronically, according to the U.S. Treasury Department.
John Johnston, Erie-based public affairs specialist for the Social Security Administration, said electronically paid benefits will include Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

Students of the Ridgway Area High School held a dress rehearsal Monday night in the auditorium for their production of Beauty and the Beast. The Ridgway High School will be presenting Beauty and the Beast beginning Thursday, Feb. 28 through March 2 at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
CLARION — Pennsylvania State Police have charged a 29-year-old man with the alleged murder of a 19-year-old Brookville woman.
