WILCOX – Residents living near the corner of Oak and Marvin Streets in Wilcox have for years dealt with storm water drainage issues resulting in flooded backyards.

Township divided on proposed drilling moratorium

Pennsylvania state Senator Jim Ferlo announced in April of this year his desire to enact legislation that would put a moratorium on shale gas drilling in Pennsylvania. The proposed moratorium would last three years and would ban the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection [DEP] from issuing new drilling permits and would also disallow drilling at sites where permits have already been granted where drilling has not yet begun.

Copella still creating beautiful artwork

Tom Copella, a Kersey native, returned to the area five years ago and continues to create the beautiful artwork he has done nearly all his life.
