Saint Leo School students and their families held a March for Life recently to remind our community that life is precious from the moment of conception until natural death. Students chanted, sang, and prayed as they remembered all the unborn babies who have died through legalized abortion over the last 40 years in the United States. The March for Life ended with students laying red roses in front of the stone for the unborn on the church lawn.
At Tuesday's meeting of the Elk County Solid Waste Authority, Solid Waste/Recycling Coordinator Bekki Titchner said so far area residents were doing pretty well adhering to the new ban on disposing of electronic waste items.
ST. MARYS – Dr. Stephen Bolstad, a St. Marys native, returned to his hometown as the guest conductor of the the recent PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association) District II Band Festival held at Elk County Catholic High School.
