The Elk County Historical Society held their 48th Annual Dinner Friday night at The Royal Inn along Boot Jack Road in Ridgway.
This year's guest speaker was Robert Schreiber Jr., author of "Fox: Buffalo Swamp to Marcellus Shale: The History of Fox Township, Pennsylvania."
Schreiber is a lifelong resident of Fox Township and an educator in the St. Marys Area School District. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from Penn State University and is the president of Fox Township Manor. He is also a member of numerous community boards and organizations.
ST. MARYS â Pip is once again scheduled to appear on NBC's "The Voice" tonight during a two-hour live show that will run from 8 to 10 p.m. He will once again need votes to continue to advance-- if he makes it past an instant elimination by his coach, Adam Levine.
Having a sick child who must undergo hospital treatment is a parentâs worst nightmare.
And not being able to afford to stay at the childâs bedside is an unfathomable heartache.
Thanks to the âPennies From Heavenâ fund, financial assistance is provided to needy parents of children admitted to Childrenâs Hospital in Pittsburgh. The aid enables parents to remain with their children during the stay in the hospital.
Kane native Jon R. Perry and his wife, the former Joni Detrick of Kane, are the founders of the âPennies From Heavenâ fund.
