October 28th
The weather cooperated Saturday afternoon for the annual Halloween parade put on by the Ridgway Lions Club. Led by the lion and the Ridgway Area High School Marching Band, paraders dressed up in their unique Halloween costumes and strolled down Center Street. The parade route went from the Courthouse Annex on Center Street, took a right turn onto South Mill Avenue, took another right turn onto Main Street, then proceeded onto Court Street for the end of the route. Attendees then enjoyed hot dogs and beverages as the lower portion of Court Street was shut down for a short time.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection [DEP] reported that a sample collected from Daguscahonda's public water system shows that E. coli bacteria is present in levels above Pennsylvania Safe Drinking Water Act standards.
