JOHNSONBURG – The Johnsonburg Area School District received a $10,000 grant from Highmark to be used to purchase health foods and exercise equipment for its high school students.
"The money will be used for nutrition and physical activity," said superintendent Dennis Crotzer, during Thursday night's regular school board meeting. "Fresh fruits and vegetables will be purchased for our students and aerobic equipment will be purchased for student use."
The elementary school received a similar grant from Highmark several years ago for $10,000.
