Daniel F. Kemmerer Sr., age 80, of Rockmart, Ga., died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, in a Rome Medical Center.
He was born in Ridgway on Dec. 13, 1930, a son of the late Raymond J. Kemmerer and Mary DeGroat Kemmerer. He had been a resident of Rockmart since 1997, moving there from New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
He was a member of the Aragon United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Kemmerer retired from the IBM Corporation as a service representative with 36 years of service.

The Ridgway Area School District Board of Directors held a reorganizational meeting in the Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School Library prior to their regular meeting Monday night.
Board member Lisa Connelly was elected as board president.
Board member William Seely nominated Gloria Almquist-Shull and Lucy Bobby for president, all of which respectfully declined the nomination.
"Thank you, but I wish to decline," Almquist-Shull said. "I am away in the winter and I don't feel I could do the job justice, but thank you for the nomination."
JOHNSONBURG â Johnsonburg native Laura Lechien has chosen to dedicate her time in order to better the community.
Lechien teaches an Aero/tone fitness class at the Johnsonburg Community Center where all proceeds are donated to the community center.
âI donât get anything out of it. Members have to pay a membership fee to the building,â Lechien said. âI am blessed with a good job, so I decided I would do this to give back to the community.â
Thomas G. Schreiber, 69, of 1127 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Christ the King Manor in DuBois as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Nov. 14, 2011.
He was born Aug. 31, 1942, in St. Marys, son of the late Ambrose and Bertha Brem Schreiber. On July 18, 1970, in the St. Boniface Church in Kersey, he married Connie M. Lorenzini and she survives.
Andrew Luke, age 70, formerly of Brockport, more currently a resident at Jefferson Court in Brookville. died Dec. 3, 2011 at Brookville Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1941 in Crenshaw to Henry and Matilda Zamboni Luke.
Andy attended St. Tobias in Brockway. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as playing board games and cards.
He is survived by one sister, Carol A. Connacher of Brockport, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Frank, Larry and James Luke.
JOHNSONBURG â Johnsonburg football honored the varsity and junior high football teams during a banquet Sunday afternoon at Johnsonburg Area High School.
Varsity head coach Jesse Schreiber expressed his apprecation to the administration for giving him the chance to coach the players and the gridiron boosters for their help. He also acknowledged the junior high coaches for their work in restarting that program.
Karen Marzella is a Residential Planner who is set to open her design studio, Casual Elegance, Interiors by Karen located at The Shop on Main in Ridgway.
Marzella is a trained and certified Residential Planner from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
âAfter being approached by members of the Co-op at The Shop on Main, I came to realize the benefits a showroom would offer to me, my clients and the community,â Marzella said. âThe downtown people were so encouraging of me and my dream. And I couldnât have done this without the support of my friends and family.â
The Ridgway football team celebrated its season with a banquet Friday night at Laurel Mill Golf Club.
The team finished with a 6-4 record this season.
âThis season started as a season of âWhat ifsâ and ended in a season of prominence,â Ridgway varsity football head coach Mark Heindl said. âWe started at Edinboro where we implemented a new offense, the Wing-T. By the end of the weekend, you saw the results as the season went on. From the second half on, you saw what these kids did. We never looked back.
JOHNSONBURG â Johnsonburg Area School District Board of Directors held their annual reorganizational meeting Thursday night before the regular meeting.
Board president Robert Paladino was unanimously approved to serve another one-year term as board president. Paladino has served on the school board for over 20 years.
Richard Warmbrodt will remain in his current seat as vice president and serve another one-year term.
Newly-elected board member Todd Fannin sat in for his first board meeting Thursday night.
