Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School students held a rehearsal Thursday afternoon in the Ridgway Area High/Middle School auditorium for their performance of Schoolhouse Rocks Jr. Students will give their first of two performances tonight and Saturday in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m.
Ridgway girls soccer lost 2-1 to Curwensville in the D-9 semifinal Thursday night at DuBois High School.
A vehicle crash occurred Wednesday afternoon at the corner of South Mill Avenue and Center Street in Ridgway.
Grace M. "Grayce" Uher, 90, of Dunbar died on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Highlands Hospital in Connellsville.
She was born on March 14, 1922 in Connellsville, daughter of the late John and Anna Goulosh Kendrish.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary societies. She retired from Pechins Foods (produce and meat departments).
Grayce was an avid cook and baker. A favorite pastime of hers was collecting angels.
Stephen B. "E.T." Palmer, 45, of 101 Fern Lane, Kersey, died Wednesday morning, October 31, 2012, at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport following a short illness.
He was born Nov. 2, 1966 in St. Marys, son of Donna Schreiber Palmer and the late Frederick Palmer.
Formerly of St. Marys, he resided in Kersey since 1990. He attended St. Marys Area High School and graduated from Jeff Tech, DuBois, as a machinist.
He was a member of Queen of the World Parish in St. Marys. He especially loved spending time with his children, camping, hunting and fishing, and driving four-wheelers and snowmobiles.
Edmund L. â€śEmmyâ€ť Moline, age 91, died Oct. 18, 2012 in Port Charlotte, Fla.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, David and Edna Moline, and sisters Stella, Rosie, and Kathy.
He is survived by his sister Peachy; his wife of 66 years Dorothy (Dot); his children, Jeanne (Joe) Scheuerman, E. Robert (Susan), Debra (Kevin Betts), and Dennis (Regina); grandchildren Matt (Jaki) Trombley, Stephanie (Mario) Tripp, Ryan Moline, Stacey Rae Moline, Andrew Moline, Michael Lungo, Cassidy Lungo, Brian Antes and Zachary Tripp; nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
