Johnsonburg bank robber pleads guilty

The man charged with the Jan. 8 gunpoint robbery of a Johnsonburg bank was sentenced Monday in Elk County Court to serve five to 10 years in state prison.

Mary Rose Maletto, age 96, 203 East Ave., Johnsonburg, died Sunday evening, May 5, 2013, at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
She was born March 26, 1916, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Pasquale Nocito and Mariannina Perrone Nocito Condina.
On June 17, 1939, in Holy Rosary Church, she married Alfred J. Maletto Jr. who preceded her in death on June 7, 2010.

Grace Notes Studio presents awards

WILCOX – The piano and voice students of Grace Notes Studio of Wilcox recently presented their 15th Annual Spring Recital. Students from Johnsonburg, Wilcox, Kane, St. Marys and Mt. Jewett, ranging in age from 7 to adult, performed a variety of music styles for a large audience. Students were given a round of applause for their performances.
