Dickinson Center Inc.'s C.O.P.E. (Coalition of People Empowered) Drop-In Center celebrated an open house Thursday afternoon for its new Wellness Gym.
BRADFORD – A Bradford man is being held on $300,000 cash bail after being charged with sexually assaulting a seven-year-old child left in his care.
ST. MARYS – A St. Marys woman and her boyfriend are charged with stealing her father's identity and using it to take out a loan in his name, without his knowledge.
Charlotte L. Dietrick, 80, of 14903 Boot Jack Rd., Ridgway, died Thursday morning at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born March 29, 1933 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Paul H. and Twila [Davis] Lundin.

ST. MARYS – Johnsonburg baseball had another comeback in them to give the Rams at least two more games in their season.
The Rams rallied from a 3-0 deficit to force extra innings and then won it in the bottom of the eighth with a run for a 4-3 victory over Cranberry Wednesday afternoon at Berwind Park of St. Marys.
EMPORIUM – The Pa. State Police and Emporium Borough Police report seizing "numerous illegal drugs" in their search of a residence at a 349 East 5th St., on Wednesday.
Grace P. Cassady, 85, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, and formerly of 131 W. Condot Road, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 10, 1928 in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Abplanalp Shilk.
On Sept. 5, 1947 in Cornell, N.Y., she married the late Norbert W. Cassady.

Ridgway YMCA officials are continuing to raise money for the "Shape our Future Capital Campaign" for pool and fitness room renovations.
The Ridgway Rotary Club's second annual Quilting Bee Show is soon approaching and residents can begin picking up kits at the Welcome Center in downtown Ridgway.
An argument over a vacuum cleaner reportedly ended with a Ridgway man being assaulted and his home burglarized.
