DUI turns into police chase Sunday night

BRADFORD TWP. – It took a squadron of police to stop a McKean County motorist found to have a Blood Alcohol Content [BAC] of .251 after he reportedly led police on a late night car chase Sunday on state Route 219 in Bradford Township.

Sean Michael Dailey of Pittsburgh died peacefully in his home surrounded by immediate family Kara Dailey, Michael Morgan and Mikaya Morgan on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the age of 8.
Sean had been battling DIPG, a cancerous brain tumor since Aug. 29, 2012. He was under the care of Dr. Regina Jakacki and Dr. Trina Peduzzi, both of Pittsburgh.
He was the cherished son of Kara R. Dailey of Pittsburgh, and his father Jonathon L. Dailey of Marienville; beloved brother of sisters Mikaya Morgan and Kalea-Jo Dailey.

Accused kidnapper enters 'not guilty' plea for a second time

WILLIAMSPORT – The man charged with kidnapping a Emporium Bank employee at gunpoint, allegedly in response to the bank foreclosing on his home, again entered a "not guilty" plea in federal court, this time to an updated set of charges stemming from the botched carjacking and abduction attempt.

Jane A. Barber, 66, of 7676 Glen Hazel Road, Rasselas, died on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in the evening at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 25, 1946 in Rasselas, daughter of John "Jack" and Carmella M. Allegretto Sample.
On Feb. 25, 1968 in St. Anne's Church in Wilcox she married David C. Barber, who survives.
Jane resided in the Rasselas/Wilcox are all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1965
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in St. Marys.
Jane had been employed by Windfall Specialty for several years.

Johnsonburg baseball on to state's final four

PUNXSUTAWNEY – It was an extra special winning moment for Quinn Luhr in the PIAA quarterfinal.
After keeping Johnsonburg baseball even with Bishop McCort, Luhr's RBI single in the bottom of the 11th helped the Rams to a 7-6, 11-inning victory over the Crushers Thursday at Rich Kuntz Memorial Field in Punxsutawney.
The win means there will be a new state champion in Class A baseball as Bishop McCort took the title for the 2012 season.

Voters use write-ins to express indifference, chagrin
