LUMBER TWP. â€“Â A Muncy man died Monday afternoon after two vehicles collided during wet roadway conditions on state Route 120 in Lumber Township, Cameron County, approximately one mile west of the Village of Cameron.
Monsignor John Raymond Snyder, 86, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at his residence in Erie. Â
Monsignor Snyder was born in Erie on Oct. 16, 1926, the son of John R. and Rosemary Eckl Snyder. He was raised in Ridgway and attended Ridgway public elementary school and graduated from St. Leo Parish High School. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps.
Angeline Marie (Zuccolotto) Gradizzi, 95, of Kylers Corner Rd., Kersey, entered into eternal life early Sunday morning, June 30, 2013.
She was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Coal Hollow, daughter of the late Guido and Catherine Baruffalo Zuccolotto. On Dec. 23, 1939, at Holy Cross, Brandy Camp she married Rudolph (Dolpho) Gradizzi who predeceased her Dec. 30, 1982.
She had one son, Jerome Gradizzi, who predeceased her in December 1992.
Mary Lou Fleming, age 92, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Ridgway, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
WEEDVILLE â€“ State police have arrested a man they say broke into the Weedville residence of an ex-girlfriend before passing out drunk on her couch while waiting for her to come home.
JOHNSONBURG â€“ The Johnsonburg major league all-stars won 6-2 over Kane Friday night at Knothole Area Recreational Park in District 10 tournament play.
Johnsonburg led throughout much of the game, scoring two runs in the first and three runs in the third.
KERSEY â€“ Eighteen months of preparation culminated Friday evening as Fox Township kicked off its Bicentennial Celebration. An opening ceremony was held at 7 p.m. at the Fox Twp. Community Park followed by a fireworks display.

DuBOIS -Â Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-Jefferson) and Speaker of the House Sam Smith (R-Jefferson, Indiana, Armstrong) joined Governor Tom Corbett in DuBois City and Jefferson and Clearfield Counties Friday to meet with local officials and emergency management personnel to assess local flood damage.
ERIE â€“ A St. Marys man who pleaded guilty on April 18 to the theft of $500,000 from the Elk County Humane Society is asking to be released from federal custody until his September sentencing.
