The Ridgway Armory along North Broad Street and the former Pennsylvania Army National Guard weekend training site at 5509 Grant Road were recently posted for sale after officials from the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs [DMVA] discussed the process during a Ridgway Borough Council meeting back in July.
The Elk County Catholic Crusader soccer team claimed another Elk County Boys Soccer Tournament title on Saturday afternoon, this year by shutting out the Redbank Valley Bulldogs 3-0.
ECC advanced to the championship match by defeating the Ridgway Elkers 4-1 on Friday afternoon while Redbank had won 3-1 over St. Marys Area.
Just two days after battling in a close match which was won in three sets by ECC, the Lady Crusaders and Lady Dutch volleyball teams were back at it again on Saturday evening, this time facing each other in the championship match of the 17th annual Elk County Volleyball Tournament. ECC was able to win the best-of-three championship match with scores of 25-20 and 25-17 to claim this year's tournament title.
