Rose Marie Guidice, age 96, died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 4, 2013, surrounded by her family at Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility where she had resided happily for many years.
Roger P. Griech, age 58, of 31361 Portland Mills Rd., Ridgway, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 14, 1954 in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Paul J. and Helen A. (Neely) Griech. He had resided in Portland Mills for most of his life and was a 1972 graduate of the Ridgway High School. He was a Catholic by faith. Roger was a past member of the American Legion and the Moose Club in Ridgway. He had been employed by Motion Control Industries for many years.
FOX TWP. â€“ The Kersey Motor Company, an auto body repair shop located at 108 Zola Rd. in the Coal Hollow section of Fox Township, sustained significant damage during a Tuesday evening fire. The large steel-frame commercial building measuring 40-foot by 80-foot, is owned by Leo (Dave) Surra of Kersey. The fire was ruled accidental in nature and the business was closed and unoccupied at the time of the fire. Damage is estimated at $350,000.
