'Weapons of Mass Destruction' charges filed in pipe bomb incidents

ST. MARYS – Court documents released Tuesday in the case of a St. Marys man charged with planting two pipe bombs in Elk County last month offer few details and little in the way of clues as to what motivated the accused, 20-year-old Kelly J. Shaffer, to allegedly build and attempt to detonate the explosive devices.

ST. MARYS – A St. Marys man has been criminally charged after police say he used his wife's name to fill out a federal background check in order to buy firearms at a local gun emporium.

Ora E. Miller, 94, of Ridgway, formerly of White, died Monday June 24, 2013 in the Oak Hill Nursing Home, Greensburg.
She was born July 3, 1918 in White, a daughter of the late Emory and Kathryn Wingrove Kinneer.
Mrs. Miller was a former nurses aid for Community Nursing in Ridgway and she was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a current member of the Scottdale Church of Christ.
