ST. MARYS – There was visible police activity on Linwood Avenue in St. Marys on Wednesday afternoon. There were at least three St. Marys Police Department vehicles and at least four Ridgway-based State Police vehicles at the site. It was unclear how many officers were at the scene and if any law enforcement officials entered any property. Preliminary reports from PSP Ridgway late Wednesday evening indicated the activity was part of an ongoing investigation and no immediate public information report was filed.
The Ridgway area school board held their annual reorganization meeting at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School prior to their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday evening. The school board said goodbye to Bill Seely, who has served on the board for the last four years. Seely also served as the board's representative to Intermediate Unit 9.
