James J. Marconi, 85, formerly of Hemlock Avenue in Kane, died early Monday morning, Oct. 28, 2013 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where he was a resident.
Born Feb. 7, 1928 in James City, he was the son of Enrico â€śHenryâ€ť and Anita Loveless Marconi.Â On May 27, 1950 in Kane, he married Rosella F. â€śRosieâ€ť Fiscus, who died May 12, 2012.
Irvin "Woody" Franklin Hill, 66, of Hallton, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 as result of an automobile accident in Marienville.
He was born in Greenville on Jan. 23, 1947, to the late Elmer and Ida D. (Kitch) Hill.
He was a 1965 graduate of Greenville High School and retired from General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army, from which he received an honorable discharge.
He loved everything about the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Woody loved his animals and spending time with his good friends.
Jane Patricia Benton, 91, of East Cardott Street, Ridgway, died Oct. 29, 2013 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Ridgway on March 22, 1922, the daughter of Elmer and Mabel Frantz Eckert.
She was a lifelong resident of Ridgway and a faithful member of St. Leo's Catholic Church. She married Loraine Joseph Benton, he preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1999.
