HAMLIN TWP. â€“ A police criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause were filed Friday charging Kathleen S. Douglas, age 37, with multiple felony counts and related charges stemming from an Aug. 31 two-vehicle crash that killed six people on state Route 219 in Hamlin Township.

Betty Jean Yale, 69, of 220 Fairview R, Kersey, and formerly of 123 Hollow Rd., Kersey, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 16, 1944 in Baxter, daughter of the late Harold C. and Betty K. Wonderling Terwilliger Sr. She was a lifelong resident of the area, attended Kersey schools, and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1962.
On Nov. 19, 1967, in Brockport, she married Richard W. Yale, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2009.
Ruth N. West, 88, of Newtown Square, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013.
She was born in Ridgway on July 20, 1925 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nyquist.
Ruth graduated from St. Leo's in 1942 and received her nursing degree from Philadelphia General Hospital, then worked in several different nursing specialties before she retired as a school nurse in 1992.
She married the late Joseph V. West and is the beloved mother of five children: Catherine West, Gary West, James West, Jeffery West, and the late Joseph West.
Ruth had five siblings: Shirley, Barbara, Carol, and the late Morris and Edna Mae.
Mytrle B. Ewings, age 98, a resident of the Lutheran Home at Kane, died Friday morning, Oct. 11, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 27, 1915 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Benton C. and Margaret (Evans) Wilson. She married Leland W. Ewings on June 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1993.
She had resided in Ridgway all of her life and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, the E.L.C.W., the church retired group, and a member of the Ridgway Senior Citizens Center.
Victor C. Bish, age 70, of Brockport, died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born on May 2, 1943 in St. Marys, son of the late Kenneth and Martha Heiberger Bish. He married Lorraine C. â€śLorriâ€ť Lechien on Aug. 30, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was a die-setter in various local powered metal factories, as well as in Colorado and California. He retired as a self-employed powder metal consultant in 2005. He enjoyed the outdoors and being with family and friends.
