A new method of pipeline restoration provided by 3M is being considered by the Borough of Ridgway following a motion made by Ridgway Borough Councilman Ralph Dussia to turn the issue over to the Water and Sewer Committee.
ST. MARYS â€“ The second annual Autism Awareness Charity Ball, presented by the Dickinson Center, Inc. Autism Program, was held on Friday at The Red Fern Banquet and Conference Center in St. Marys.
The evening included a performance by Jack Garret and the Swingin' Starz, as well as live and silent auctions.
With roughly $25,000 raised through last year's efforts, this year's goal was set at $50,000, with proceeds to benefit the center's Autism Program.
Julia C. Himes, age 76, of Johnsonburg, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 9, 1935 in Betula, daughter of the late Irvin Harvey and Julia (Halbe) Rider.
She had been married to the late Bernard William Himes.
A homemaker, she had previously resided in Brockport for many years.
WILCOX â€“ Wilcox American Legion baseball squeezed its way to a 2-0 victory over St. Marys Monday night at Jones Township Community Park.
Wilcox scored both of its runs on suicide squeeze plays in the sixth inning to break what had been a scoreless tie to that point.
"We had it on a few times earlier, we didn't come through with it," Wilcox coach Jeff Peterson said.
