After a quarterfinal win, Bush faced the two top wrestlers in the state in consecutive bouts and lost both which puts him in position to wrestle for fifth place at 126 pounds after action concluded at the PIAA Individual Wrestling Championships for Friday.

Less than one week removed from losing the district title game at Tippin Gymnasium against rival Ridgway, the Rams bounced back in the first round of the Class A state basketball playoffs with a 57-47 win over Bishop Carroll.
The Huskies (14-13) were able to control the game early on but a late rally in the second quarter gave the Rams (23-5) the halftime lead; they extended their advantage in the third quarter and held off a late Bishop Carroll rally for a 10-point win.
CLARION - The Ridgway Elkers defeated the Sewickley Academy Panthers by a 48-40 score to advance to the second round of the PIAA Class A boysâ€™ tournament.
The Elkers will meet the Kennedy Catholic squad next Tuesday at a site and time to be announced. Kennedy Catholic defeated Cornell by a 64-53 score.
The Elkers were able to use a pressing defense in the first half of last nightâ€™s contest to build a 10-4 lead after the first eight minutes and take a 21-12 halftime lead.
In the second half, Sewickley outscored the Elkers by a 28-27 margin to cut Ridgwayâ€™s final margin of victory to 48-40.
JOHNSONBURG â€“Â Stephanie Carnessali, owner of Carnessali Photography in Johnsonburg, recently submitted a photograph that won a red ribbon in the Pittsburgh print competition of the Triangle Photographers Association of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
The photograph was taken spontaneously, and Carnessali explains how she instantly knew it would be good for the competition.
