CAPSEA, Inc. [Citizens Against Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse] has conveniently-placed Wish List drop-off boxes at three Northwest Savings Bank locations as part of an annual drive to assist in supplying abuse victims staying in the Ridgway shelter with the basic necessities.
Wish List drop-off boxes are located at the Ridgway, St. Marys and Johnsonburg Northwest Savings Bank office locations.
Ridgway wrestling head coach Gary Gerber may not have come out on the winning side but the presence of Elker alumni, family and friends still made Tuesday night a special night for the retiring coach.

At Tuesday's meeting of the Elk County Solid Waste Authority, a lengthy discussion was held concerning the possible hire of a worker(s) to aid in the running of the Elk County Community Recycling Center in the Stackpole Complex in St. Marys. The Elk County Commissioners were also present at the meeting to give their input on the matter.
Gloria M. Gigliotti, 82, of 6524 Ridgway-Johnsonburg Rd., Johnsonburg, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2012, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 11, 1929 in Johnsonburg, daughter of Lewis Olmstead and Leona Norlin Olmstead McMahon. On Feb. 10, 1951, she married Frank J. "Spider" Gigliotti in Ridgway; he preceded her in death April 26, 1999.
Elizabeth “Betty” Bauer Larkin Farmer, 75, passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Mon., Jan. 30, 2012.
Born in Driftwood, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Frances Bauer. A longtime resident of Cameron County, she also lived in Hawaii, Okinawa, Japan, and Falls Church, Va. She retired to Virginia Beach after working for over 20 years as a bank teller at what was originally Bucktail Bank & Trust. She will be remembered for her smile, her kindness, and the infectious laughter she brought into our lives.
