A St. Marys man charged with running over his wife with a pickup truck during the escalation of a verbal dispute was in Elk County Court Monday, where he entered a plea of guilty to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault.
Sr. John Frances Aiello, SSJ, 88, of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania, died on Dec. 3, 2012.
She was in her 60th year of religious life. She was born in Johnsonburg on Sept. 1, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Frances Chirillo Aiello. She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph from Holy Rosary parish in Johnsonburg on Aug. 30, 1953 and professed her final vows on Aug. 15, 1959. She celebrated her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2003.
