Port makes Gator bait of Crusaders in 48-7 rout

BRADFORD – Port Allegany quarterback Matt Bodamer put on an impressive show Friday night as he rushed for 122 yards and threw for 309, leading the top-seeded and undefeated Gators to a 48-7 rout of the Elk County Catholic Crusaders in a District 9 semi-final contest at Parkway Field in Bradford.
The Gators led all the way, racking up a 21-0 lead before the Crusaders were able to score their lone touchdown midway through the second quarter. Port responded with 27 unanswered points in the second half to come away with the victory.
