The Borough of Ridgway will use money allotted from Community Development Block Grant Funds for the remainder of repairs to the 700-foot retaining wall along Front Street.
The Borough was allotted $95,871 for financial fiscal year 2011.
"We completed about a third of it last year," said borough manager Martin Schuller. "We pressure-washed, stained and treated it."
During Monday night's meeting council members approved to submit another application to the Department of Community & Economic Development to finish the last section of the wall.
Repairs to the wall will begin in the fall.
Ridgway football will enter AML South play on a 3-game winning streak after a 19-0 victory over Cameron County Friday night at Memorial Field.
"It's a great feeling, I'm so proud of my kids right now," Ridgway coach Mark Heindl said. "What a heck of a defensive game our guys played. Offensively, we moved the ball, we showed some things that we can do. We got to capitalize more in the red zone. We're happy, we're 3-1 going into AML South divisional play, tied for first place. Our kids are excited right now and they have every right to be."
