GLEN HAZEL – Departing Johnsonburg seniors Jesse Wolfe and Max Zimmerman were honored Sunday afternoon as co-recipients of the prestigious Aaron Muroski Memorial Award presented each year to the most outstanding wrestler in the high school program.

ST. MARYS – Game MVP Maxx Rynd of Venango Catholic scored 26 points to go with five rebounds and three steals to lead White to a 100-66 win over Blue in the 12th annual Alice R. Kozel Foundation District 9 Boys All-Star Basketball Game played Saturday night at Elk County Catholic High School.
Rynd became the first All American Awards & Engraving D9Sports.com District 9 Player of the Year to also earn Kozel Game MVP honors with his performance.
ST. MARYS – Game MVP Jenna Matzinger of Coudersport scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Blue Team to a 92-76 win in the 12th annual Alice R. Kozel Foundation District 9 Girls All-Star Basketball Game played Saturday night at Elk County Catholic High School.
Blue used a 15-5 run at the end of the first half to build a 47-36 halftime lead and then built the lead to as many as 23, 86-63, late in the second half before White made a late run getting within 10, 86-76, with 42 seconds to play.
