James R. Penfield, age 84, of 101 North Mill Ave., Ridgway died Tuesday evening at Elk Regional Health Center. He was born June 13, 1926 in Ridgway son of the late William J. and Dorothy (Wood) Penfield. He married Donna F. Johnson on Dec. 24, 1953, she survives. He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was Protestant by Faith. He was a member of the American Legion Post 208. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Veteran of WWII. He had been employed by the Elliot Company for 14 years and by Clarion Sintered Metals for 25 years.
