Lois Ann Bevacqua, 72, of 846 Noelani Dr., Duncansville, died Saturday morning, Jan. 1, 2011 at Altoona Regional Health System in Altoona following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 31, 1938 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Bronislaw "Bruno" and Anna Simchick Golebieski.
On Aug. 20, 1960 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg she married Joseph J. Bevacqua, who survives.
Ralph L. Franco, 83, of 6498 Ridgway-Johnsonburg Rd., Johnsonburg, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2010 at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 23, 1927 in Johnsonburg, the son of Batiste and Frances Serianni Franco.
On Sept. 16, 1950 in Holy Rosary Church, he married Rose M. Ferragine, who survives. The couple had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 16, 2010.
Joyce M. Brink, 53 of Girard, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at her home.
She was born in Ft. Knox, KY., a daughter of the late Logan E. and Lucy Huggler Brink.
Joyce graduated from the Ridgway Area High School in 1975. She then attended and graduated from the Pa. Dallas College Misericordia where she studied culinary arts. She later attended Gannon University where she received her Registered Nurses Degree in 1996. Joyce began her career as a nurse at St. Vincent Health Center and had worked there since.
