JOHNSONBURG â€“ Johnsonburg Area School District Board of Directors held their annual reorganizational meeting Thursday night before the regular meeting.
Board president Robert Paladino was unanimously approved to serve another one-year term as board president. Paladino has served on the school board for over 20 years.
Richard Warmbrodt will remain in his current seat as vice president and serve another one-year term.
Newly-elected board member Todd Fannin sat in for his first board meeting Thursday night.
ST. MARYS â€“ For the past 11 years, area students requiring specialized care due to a mental health diagnosis have been utilizing the Crossroads Partial Hospitalization day treatment program, which offers a combination of group, individual and/or family therapy, academic support and medication management.
Now situated inside their new facility located on the campus of Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys, the program serves students from seven area school districts ranging in age from 11-18 years old.
Lorene M. Rudolph, 93, of Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys and formerly of 104 Julia St., died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 following a three-year illness.
Rudolph was born on Sept. 8, 1918, in Collbran, Ala., daughter of the late Daniel T. and Allie A. Tucker Pritchett.
On Sept. 8, 1945, she married Edward W. Rudolph, who preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2006.
As a child, Lorene attended Tucker Chapel School in Ft. Payne, Ala. She had been a resident of Johnsonburg since 1945 and was employed by GTE Sylvania of St. Marys for 10 years.
