Since its beginning in 1950, the Ridgway Lions Club has been actively involved in supporting its community. B.H. Robb, a member of the Clearfield Lions Club and District Zone Chairman, initially pursued the possibility of organizing a Ridgway charter. On April 27, 1950, the charter was successfully intact. Since then, the club has been pursuing many avenues of community support.
A current event the club produces is an annual magic show. John Charleson, Chairman and member for more than 20 years, says this is a major fundraiser.
