Jack D. Steis, 87, a resident of the DuBois Nursing Home and formerly of 313 Cook Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 at the DuBois Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 12, 1923, in Ridgway, son of the late Walter and Clarabel Brunner Steis.
On April 8, 1948, in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnsonburg, he married Ethel Klawuhn, who preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2003.
Magdalene Mary "Maggie" Casolo, 92, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, passed away Monday evening, Sept. 27, 2010, at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1918, in Byrnedale, the daughter of the late John and Mary Holjencin Liptak.
On Nov. 5, 1938, in St. Joseph’s Church in Force, she married Severin (Kebe) Casolo, who predeceased her on July 16, 1983.
